Finally

welcome from s carolina, would love to see some pics.

B-World is great! How nice is it to drop off the Mopar Map for 40+ years and have the crew welcome you back like it was yesterday. This is fantastic.
it will not be finished in 6 months or even 16 months. It is difficult when you are blasting, priming and painting every little part. There is also difficulty in getting reasonable parts (Midland brake booster and finding rebuild parts for a MC that has the correct casting #) everybody wants to sell yo a new (read: incorrect) piece.
I feel if you pick away at it - an hour or two hear and there during the week and a bunch of hours on the weekend, you will see progress. when I can get pics loaded, you will see what I mean just un-doing the dumb stuff that you did as a 17 year old.

Welcome from a neighbour to the north. After letting it sit for about 20 years, I started a re-restoration of my 1964 Polara last year. Yeah, sometimes life happens.

Welcome from Missouri!!

Great story, cool car! Now, we must insist...
:xscuseless:

You guys are killing me! First 3 pics are the day I unwrapped it. Had to cut the tarp because the duct tape had vulcanized itself to the plastic. The forth pic is from about a month ago. doesn't look like 3 months work - but it is.

Has anyone visited the AMS Obsolete Place in Fairmount, Georgia? It looks like he has a ton of new and used parts and lots of donor B-Bodies. Hard to tell from the website.

I never visited but I did buy parts from them. I think it was Herb's Part's but he either retired or croaked. Not sure which. Good to deal with either way! I think they have a parts catalog. Not sure anymore.

Welcome aboard from Ohio. Git going, we're not getting any younger!!

Welcome aboard from the Pacific Northwest. Laugh out loud as you are working out all the prep work and you will see that car come back to life. :xscuseless:
 :luvplace:

I have had to take months to deconstruct my dumb teenage mistakes and finally now starting to reconstruct the old gal.

You are correct. The addresses are identical and the "Herb's Parts" site now says: "A Division of AMS Obsolete".

This is just the welcome wagon
mostly just for an intro, share a few photos or stories etc.
we do like photos

Maybe you could start a separate/new build thread,
with all your detailed photos, content etc.

Maybe either in a member build threads
or in year or car specific forum sections here at FBBO
you'll get more views, interactions

the welcome wagon, has nowhere near as many views

looks good
