I got a weird reply to my wanted ad. I saw they had replied to others in exactly the same way so I was tipped off. I see the dodgy reply's are gone. Well done administrators.
It is a shame that in some cases it must be working for them or they would not do it.

The E bodies had a woman doing that this week too. She had everything you were looking for. One member posted a WTB Hemi Cuda and muffler bearings as a joke and she had them.

I tried that with the 68 340 J heads had but he didn't bite. He turned out to be a spammer with more research by Joey.

And it's usually not a good bet to do business with newbies that did what this guy did. Years ago I came across a bunch of Porsche 911 parts and joined a Porsche site and explained what and how got the parts and even explained that I was a member here and was into older Mopars and drag racing and posted my user name here if anyone wanted to check me out. After asking a few questions about the 911 (I actually like them but know very little about them), I got some responses. Ended up selling all of the stuff to a guy in Denmark and he didn't mind paying the shipping which was as much as the parts were lol. If someone is going to join a site to sell stuff, you don't do what this Tony guy did. You have to put enough info out there about yourself so others can do some checking. AND no one should ever do business with a guy that does what Tony did!!
I can't remember who I bought my coronet 500 trim from, he's on this site. I may of given him a rating, I didn't get a rating from him, no matter. He was great to work with and kept me informed on the progress of straightening out dents and polished it to my satisfaction. I talked to him several times and got the feeling he was a decent guy. I'm happy.
You're right, explaining who you are, how you work and what you both can expect is just being upfront. That's why I use to gift a lot of parts, just easier and fun.

Some people either don't care about leaving feedback, or they just have too much difficulty in completing it.
I know I am guilty of missing a couple out there....happy to go back and retrospectively amend that if possible. I know I caught most of them a few years ago. It is good to try and leave something posted.

We do what we can. It's often a difficult balance because we don't want to block someone mistakenly. Scammers are always coming up with new twists on things which makes it even more challenging.
