I will never be driving this to the airport, and after 15 years flying international for work I have security at the airport down pat. Not like the idiots that show up with a gun in their carry on and claim they forgot it was in their bag. I've carried a lot of tequila through customs from Mex and never been stopped once. You just need to know the rules. :)
 
Here is another one of those “drop them in the mailbox and postage is guaranteed“ keychains. This one is obviously quite old, seeing as how it is from the Bill Henderson Plymouth De Soto dealership. It looks like the building, on VanDyke near 9 mile road, is today a “you bring the parts and we do the labor“ mechanics shop.
My grandparents and my uncles family both lived within a few miles and they both also had the Slocum (SL) telephone numbers.

The large key holder can hold four keys. When none are being used they are pushed down into the case. There are four color-coded buttons on the case. When inside the keys are spring loaded. When you push a button that particular key pops out of the case, similar to a switchblade. I think the Plymouth badge was originally attached to a leather fob.

Here is one of those keychains that separates into two parts so you can leave a key with someone without handing over all of your keys. It is from a shell service station that was located in Highland Park, which at that time was home to Chrysler world headquarters. The address uses a zone, instead of a ZIP Code, which indicates it was probably made prior to 1963. The white part also glows in the dark

This keychain has an unusual pen knife in it. It has a small blade that is permanently attached to the body and also three interchangeable tools. After choosing, which tool you need to use you hook it to the body of the knife. The tool snaps into place and will not come off Until you take it off.

It is not a keychain, but it is a spare key holder. I guess the idea is to put a spare car key in it and then put it in your wallet. From the way it is designed with two large cut outs instead of one, I suppose you could put two keys in it.

A while back, I found a Hertz Keychain holder. I decided to make it into a Dodge dealership service department Keychain holder. I have filled the board with Mopar, Chrysler, De Soto, Dodge, and Plymouth keychains. Each keychain also has on it small vintage items that people had on their keychains in the 60s and 70s. I chose Hodges dodges for a few reasons. The dealership was located on Woodward, the Dream Cruise Road. My grandparents bought a brand new 1962 slant six Dart there. The dealership also had a relationship with the Ramchargers. Their name appeared on many of those race cars.

I found another coin holder, although this one is a little different in that it has a clip. A Simoniz bottle opener and corkscrew. Just what is needed after working up a sweat waxing your car. The other side reads “Motorists Wise Simoniz”.

My keychain is a bottle opener. It definitely keeps ME cool.
 
Another parking meter coin holder. This one has different sized holes on each side. One for nickels , and the other for pennies or dimes.

Lol, they'd have to make those now that you carry in a pack of some sort for the required meter fees. Wouldn't fit in a pocket, lol. Remember those metal coin holders gas station workers wore on a belt? Something like that.
 
Another of the Drop them in the mailbox and they will be returned keychains. I don’t know how they expect someone to write their information in such a small area. It has the old style telephone number

One one side of this gas pump shaped keychain is a wheel you turn to match gallons of gas used with miles traveled. On the other side is the calculated mpg.

I agree that it looks retro. There haven’t been gas pumps with the hose and nozzle on the side of the pump for quite a few years.
