Rattling noise troubleshooting

I’m thinking to just remove it, and see if it goes away. Looks like it doesn’t need a spacer, just remove the guts and try it.

I finally found it while sliding out from under the car when I pulled sideways on the rear part of the exhaust. One of the metal tab exhaust standoff welds had broken. okay, I have shook the exhaust and didn’t notice anything. I did find a loose bolt where exhaust connects to the header.. the sound is better but still there.. I’m thinking it’s the heat riser.

Try just wiring it fully open.
If that cures the noise then you can cut out the heat riser and tap for a 3/8" thread get 2good quality bolts and thread them in until they get tight on the shoulder. Then cut both ends off and voila no heat riser and no leaks.

Header? Do you mean exhaust manifold?
 
UPDATE: I think it is the heat riser valve making the noise, along with the speedo cable making its own noise separately. The place I bought it from is actually going to pick it up and trailer it back to their shop and correct the issues. I appreciate everyone’s help with troubleshooting this with me! Thank you.
 
I had a baffle in the muffler come lose when cold it rattles a bit when hot it goes away. I put a c clamp on it and crushed it a little it worked I know its butchery but its a daily driver. Chinese JUNK
