The hose does not fit between the bracket and the head.
Is this the correct PS pump?
If not, what one should I have?
Thoughts?
As always, thanks everyone. :)
When I had my 440 motor rebuild the water pump put on was with the exit on the drivers side. I have got everything to fit except the AC compressor, it hits the water pump thermostat housing. Anyone have a solution for this? I would like to keep the AC if I can. I am wondering if the brackets...
I ordered Magnaflow Manifold Pipe #19304 for my 73 Roadrunner with a 440 but the angle of the flange on the pipe is different than that of the manifold. Is this the wrong pipe or was there more than one manifold orientation? This is teh right hand side, the left alignment is okay.
Any ideas?
My motor is almost done and I do intend on using exhaust gaskets but i did notice the factory manual says they are not needed. What does the B Body community do? Gaskets, no gaskets, or gaskets and sealer like copper rtv?
I'm very interested to see what the opinions are here, and as always...
I hope to be starting up this engine soon so was wondering how much break in oil will I need. The motor is from a 73 Roadrunner and has the factory oil pan. I am looking at the Lucas oil and it comes ina 5 quart jug, is that enough or should I get 2? The manual says 4 + 1 for the filter but no...
This is on a 73 Roadrunner with a 440. The vacuum port does not want to screw in without hitting the intake. I weary at bending in the connectors as the may break or collapse.
Any suggestions?
Hi all, I am about to drop in the motor on my Roadrunner and want to put in new motor mounts for it. I tried ordering new mounts but they are shorter that the original and the supplier can't find ones that fit. The metal is thinner as well so I though I should try just getting inserts for the...
I just bought this rad and well, it don't fit. I was just looking at some of the posts here and found this one Radiator mounts for a 73 ? | For B Bodies Only Classic Mopar Forum with the same issue. My question, with brackets will this rad work to cool a 440? I'm wondering if anyone has tried it...
Happy New Year everyone!
I am rebuilding the 440 from my 73 Roadrunner and have used Comp Cams XE274H-10 cam and Edelbrock 5090 heads. I was wondering if I can use the stock rockers/push rods with this setup or do I have to use roller rockers?
The car will be strictly used for street.
Full disclosure, I don't. Or at least I haven't in the past but maybe I should be. Let me know what you do, I have read anywhere from 10 - 30% reduction in the setting when using thread locker.
I just picked up a set of Edelbrock 5090 E-Street heads for my 440 and would like to know what you think are the best cylinder head gaskets. The motor is the original '73 440HP with new pistons @30 over and Exteme energy 230/236 hydraulic flat cam. This will be a street only car.
I always love...
I'm building my 440 right now and came across these heads, Has anyone used them? where they any good?

Hi all,
I am installing Magnaflow #19303 exhaust system on my Roadrunner. It looks like the supplied mount on the drivers side will work fine but I don't see any way of mounting the passenger side supplies mount. Has anyone used the supplied mounts and if so can they share where they attached to...
I am rebuilding my 440 and am looking at these cams, does anyone have experience with the Comp Cams Nostalgia Plus camshafts? Would you give them a thumbs up or down? This is going in a 73 Roadrunner that will be a street car only.
Cams can be seen here...

I know this was on the inner fender on the left but I don't have any pictures showing where it was located. May best guess is it was for covering the wire harness or maybe the brake line... Any help would be much appreciated.
