I did a transmission for a friend and he wanted the less drag race converter installed. The converter he had in the car stalled around 3800-4000 and wasn't very street cruiser friendly. I'm pretty sure it's a custom built unit.
I just got an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump and I'm thinking about installing a fuel pump controller to limit the voltage when at lower RPM's to keep everything cool and less wear on the pump.
Still going to run a bypass or a return to the tank.
Any thoughts or experience on this setup?
Thanks
Gus
Just installed the deep pan on my customers transmission. Very thick rails that won't leak no matter what gaskets you use. It comes with a Dacron filter and a premium Felpro composite gasket.
If I ran an automatic it would have one of these pans.
Buddy of mine wants to put a good pan on his stroker Poly engine. Will a 318-340 pan fit a Poly? I know there will be gasket issues because of early and late designs. The car in question is a 66 Charger.

Do you guys have speed parts decals or dragway decals on your quarter windows? I was thinking of putting a few on my Savoy to complete the old school look.

I have a BG 280 pump and have a new style bypass from Magnafuel that is plumbed into the outlet of the pump. I have -10 into the pump from the cell and have 1/2" aluminum line to the regulator.
We all remember the old days of street racers with go-fast stickers on the quarter glass. Some guys called it a shopping list for thieves. Does anybody still put them on their nostalgia cars?

I follow some is chick's small engine Youtube videos and she has a good one with this "going green" video about California's ban on gas power equipment .
I have a spare MSD 6AL that I was going to send to MSD for repair and I stumbled upon the repair and testing facility called MagTech in Indy.
Has anybody here ever used this company before? The last box I sent to MSD is still going strong after 20 years but I got this spare just in case.

Thirty years ago when I bought my Savoy the heater valve was leaking on my foot and I couldn't find the parts to fix it so I removed the whole thing. Years go by and my heater box is now long gone because I was racing it and didn't need it. Now it's a street car and would like to put a heater...
I am building a spare carb to try E85 using the Quickfuel conversion metering block kit. Has anyone here used this kit before? My compression is too high now since a recent cam change. I have a mix of race fuel in it now and it runs good with no detonation but when I run straight pump 93 I have...
I've been setting up gears for about 30 years now but lately I have been getting some poor results with the current gear sets. I have to spend more time getting a decent pattern and there is much more compromise between the drive and coast patterns. To get a decent coast pattern I need to put...
I got a set of Wilwood Dyna-lite Pro brakes very cheap and I'm ready to install them on my street/strip Savoy. They use a small 4 piston caliper not much bigger than the Wilwood rear brakes I have on the car now. I'm not doing any road racing or autocross stuff only about a dozen passes down the...
I've been doing some carb tuning and I realized that I need some pin gauges to check jets, air bleeds, etc... There are some cheap ones on Amazon that have good reviews for being sized correctly. Anybody here use them or can recommend a set that would work for under $100.
Thanks

I recently put a small street (528/244) solid roller in my 493 and have been running a Performer RPM intake and it runs pretty good. I recently took it to the track to see how the new cam swap runs now. I bolted Victor 440 intake on so I could wind it up a little higher. I was surprised at how...
