Have run her ~200 miles to get all the bugs out. Heading back to the shop to get everything tightened down and checked out. I can't decide if I'm going to put the sponsor stickers on but I do have most of them as originals. Licensed, insured and registered in CA. Not even close to street legal...
I realize she's a c-body and I'll also post there but she's been hanging out here for at least the last couple of years that I've noticed her and I've lived here five years. Lots of weeds growing under and around. I live on the same street and have never seen it go by nor move from this spot...
I picked up some items for a build and purchased what I thought were Ford Boss 302 magnesium mini-lite wheels. Turns out a local Trans Am expert says they are AAR Cuda magnesium mini-lite wheels with the extra holes for mounting a lug retainer plate. Mopar only? Are there any AAR Cuda T/A...
Tried using the Google searched door tag decoders on this with little info. First, is there a good online decoder? Second, can I please get some assistance on this one? Guy claims CA car, original paint, original engine/trans/etc and out of 30 yr storage 1968 Charger R/T. Car is ~2hrs away...
Guy came out while I was taking pictures. He's running a 360 stroker in an automatic. He was nice enough to lay into it when leaving and got the car a little sideways and chirped the tires in 2nd. 75 deg and blue skys in Northern CA bringing out the nice rides.
I'm considering a next build and am honing in on a Trans Am theme. Not too many technical articles out there regarding frame, suspension, brakes or differential modifications from the stock vehicles. By any chance are there any old school knowledgeable folks on these builds? Any resources worth...
The Petty car has invitations for Medford OR, LA and to meet Richard Petty in NC so I figured it was time for an upgrade from the '94 F250. Picked up a Dodge Ram Warlock 4x4 to keep it in the family. For those that haven't seen it, these are the pictures from the last show in Santa Cruz at a...
Tried to register for the all Mopar Spring Fling 2020 typically in April and it looks like the web page is up but not updated and the info email bounced back. Does anyone know if this show is still alive and the contact info?
I've had and sold two of these sets, now I need one for the build. Looking for the aluminum or magnesium if possible, date codes '67 or previous. Let me know if you have one you're willing to part with, pictures and price. Can also consider just the top plate as I have a spare aluminum base.
Here is a link to a four page thread over on forcbodiesonly.com (hope this is OK to reference) discussing Mopar applications of turquoise on big blocks.

My question is, was turquoise...
Much thanks to Bonnie at Petty's Garage, she's been invaluable on the tribute build, always willing to take pictures and get information on the real car. Hope to meet her and thank her in person early 2019 when the build is completed.
Had to pull the car from my long term shop when they went out of business on short notice. Hard to find creative builders that also understand basic finance. The new guy actually worked on the original tear-down when it arrived from TX and he's spent the last five years building cars at other...
Good Morning All-
The Petty 426 hemi '66/'67 Belvedere tribute car had to be pulled from the previous builder as they shut down and goes to it's new builder this week for completion.
Wheels- We'll be running the 8.00 x 15 Goodyear Blue Streak with a 10.3" tire width. Attached is a picture of...
Looking to build my Petty '66 426 hemi complete with a dry sump system. I picked up the magnesium dry sump oil pan but am looking for additional parts for the system. Do any of you have parts you're interested in selling/trading?
I'm looking for any classic Bay Area Mopar Clubs in the San Jose Area. While I live in Santa Cruz, that'll be the closest location I'm guessing. I think there is a Bay Area Challenger group that seems to travel the coffee and cars circuit on Saturdays that seems very active. Any old school groups?
