1972 Charger Engine build 400-500 or 440-512

the manifold itself is the same. You just choose between a single 4, a dual 4 or a blower top plate. Can start off with a single 4 carb top plate and as $ permits, you can swap out to a blower top plate. Manifold remains the same
 
I have a 440 now a 512 and putting out over 700hp. Runs 10's quarter. No power adders. Its a beast
 
Well the 400/512 stroker is very reliable from what is told to me. The only thing I was told about that is concerned is the short rods and angle of them, that they have slap and can tap the cylinder wall. Hmmmm don't understand it as I am still new to this but by the time I will build my 512 I will know more about it....
 
So what would be the benefit from going with the 400 over the 440?

Also what kind of power do you get from your 400/511?
