I have a neighbor who had a blue 74 Road Runner GTX, with a blue interior and white stripes. It had a GTX emblem on the hood above the 440 decal. It was a rusty New England car that he drove as his daily driver until about 5 years ago. I don't know what he did with the car but he drives a mid nineties Dodge Ram truck now.

It kind of is a package since it's not a separate car line like an RS VIN car.

72-74 RR/GTX are all RM VIN cars.

I almost bought a 74 RR/GTX sunroof car in 1988 and I knew exactly what it was.

$500.

Didn't buy it because I didn't fit with the sunroof :(
Have to disagree, the factory docs are clear, it was an engine option that triggered a model name change for ’72-74. There was never a package or option named “GTX” that could be ordered separately. The RS VIN preface applied to model years ’67-71 only, as it designated a standalone model produced in those model years only.
