Has anyone run 255/70/15’s on the rear of their car ? I know it’s not a common size but the 275/60’s on the rear of my 68 Charger still don’t fill the wheel wells as much as I’d like

I know the 255 is narrower but the higher profile 70 tire gives it a more bulky look which I like

Even 295/50’s which are nice and wide but the 50 profile means they don’t fill the arches as much as I’d like

Any pics would be appreciated if anyone has any of 255/70’s

Many thanks

255/70 (255mm * 70%=178.5mm) is a 6.5" wall height and a 255/70 is a wall height is 7", so an 1" taller over all from the ground and basically a 0.5" from the axel centerline.

Also, check out this website. I find it super helpful in sizing and fitting.

Tire Size Calculator (be sure to select the tire comparison tab on the left.)

Not sure about a charger wheel well but here they are on a roadrunner. I like that look.

I used to have them on the back of my '67 R/T, on 8" wide police wheels I made up..

255x70 t/a on my 62, on 15x8 ramcharger rims. I wanted 295x70, but without the exact right backspace (which the ramchargers arent) they wouldn't fit.
