All I can say is you're not living up to your screename.

I'm getting older... The screen name is the license plate on my green vert... When I got the plate it was on my lime green R/T SE U code Challenger... Big nasty cam, dropped in the weeds Centerline Champ 500's.. That car was pretty wild when I first built it... Since that's what I had in mind as a twenty something... But since I'm the guy that even in my late 20's I drove that car everywhere after I got it on the road I started making it somewhat mild... Smaller cam, raised the car 1.5"...All I can say is you're not living up to your screename.

I put 3” under my 68 GTX with Hooker headers! The tips can with the exhaust! The fit was remarkable! The sound outstanding but it all depends on what you put into the motor!Just in the planning stage right now, putting together my 68 Coronet R/T vert.... I have parts I could use but not sure it's the right choice...
15 years ago I bought a full 3.0" TTI system including 2.0" tube headers and the tips from a man who overextended himself..
I also have 2.5" tips and 2.5" ultraflow mufflers should I decide to go that direction... I'd collected that prior to scoring the TTI stuff...
The car isn't gonna be much of a hotrod, well... It'll be a 440, 240 @ .050 cam, ported 915's, light pistons... Good parts, but it's a vert, it won't see track time... It'll be running a 727, 3.23 gears and a 29" tire...
I fully intend to run manifolds, I could buy TTI 3.0" head pipes & run the 3.0" system.... Or I could do a 2.5" system which I think is probably a better match for the car.. Kinda concerned about the ground clearance and clearance with 3" exhaust around the torsion bars & axle....
Anybody care to tell me which way I should go & why?
Our 64 Dodge 440, which has a truck block 440 in it has manifolds, 2.5 front and 3" tail pipes. *** backwards AFAIK, but it's the quietest car in the fleet even when getting right into it. Best shot I could find prior to the new rear axle going in and underside cleanup.

That's moving out! What are your engine specs? I'm putting together a 440 for my 66 Charger, with parts I've collected over the last few years, and really don't feel like putting headers on it. I have a stack of cams and several intakes. Trying to decide what I should use.I’m using 2 1/2” with manifolds. 11.20s @ 121+ mph. 3.23 gear.
the 2 1/2” pipes just doesn’t seem to hurt power much. Probably less because you going with a cam for manifolds.
Considering the depth of your talents, I am wondering why you don't fabricate a system from scratch. It is fairly easy.Well, the 2" headers and 3" system have been re-homed... The 2.5" TTI pipes are ordered...
It's a tough call when you can buy 2 of these stainless mandrel bent kits for less than $200 and have enough for a full exhaust. At that point it's just about how much is your time worth.Considering the depth of your talents, I am wondering why you don't fabricate a system from scratch. It is fairly easy.

You can use regular MIG wire if you want, the welds will just be susceptible to rust..... and can u weld stainless? (I cant)
Or save a couple bucks with mild steel.... and can u weld stainless? (I cant)
