Will my 15 x 7 rims work on the front of 62 Dart and what size tire and not interfere with anything. They are Mopar cop wheels, not sure of backspace.

Running a 225/70/15 on 7" rims in my '62. 1978 factory Chrysler wheels
Thanks. Exactly what I am wondering. I put 235 x 70 on rear with these 7 in cop wheels, and have a pair of same I can use on front. The car currently has some 14 inch 75 series on front and they made me wonder if a 15 inch wheel would work. It is hard to measure with a tape!!!
Some rake is good with me. I will probably go with 215 or 225 x 70 up front> Thanks again.

Almost impossible to say for sure without the backspace. On my 62 savoy, a set of 235-75x15 fit fine on a set of 15x7 tt2 with 4" bs, a set of 235-70x15 on factory 15x6 steelies, with 4 1/4 bs rubbed on something on the inside, on one side of the car only. 225 probably would have fit fine.

The wheels are a 4 1/4" backspace.

The fronts run real close to the front of the wheel well opening when the wheel is turned inward but have never made contact in the two years I've been driving it.

Wheels turned straight but are hanging, not on the ground.

That is about what I thought using a measuring tape. I thought they could be close at the front of fender. I have a pair of 14 x 7 ( I think) but that would make for a lot of rake with my 235 x 70 x 15 in rear. Looks like yours woD's rk.
I can swap some wheels around another cars too. I have a set of Torq Thrust D's that are 15 x 7 with 3.75 BS. My cop wheels have a 4 2.5 BS.

Temporarily swap the fronts for the rears, and drive it around some. That will tell you if that offset and that size tire will work, or if it rubs.
