68 coronet 500 convertible well chrome.

has anyone had trouble getting the convertible well chrome to line up with the clips that are inside the chrome trim. the clips dont line up on my convertible the clips dont line up with the holes on the body any help appreciated thanks.

You do know the clips can slide around right?

yes i know they can be slide back and fourth. but they are but the holes dont line up together.
