LOL, it was sitting in really soft sand. I’ll watch it though. I was talking about door hinges rebuilt

Trying to figure out if this is the correct starter for my 383. Does not look anything like the one in my manual.

Sorry. My casting number book doesn't have starters. Never noticed it didn't.
Thank you for checking. When I bought my Bee the original tranny was in the trunk and it had another 727 installed. Just wondering if the starter is from something else. From what I’ve read, Chrysler used the same type of starter for big blocks from like 69-82 or something like that. With the exception of the Hemi.

Yep and a 69 date code to boot. The early part of my resto thread shows the rebuild of mine (not date correct, but same starter) on page 15 over on DC. com.

Thank you dadsbee!!! I used one of the restoration guides that came with my car and found out the transmission which was installed in the car is a 68 number PK2801543K. The number I see on the starter doesn’t match the number I see used in my guide during 1969. It matches closer to the early 70s. I also looked up my alternator which is correct and is the 46 amp F 11 option.

You said "the starter does not look anything like the one in my manual". If not, what are they showing in there.. an aftermarket mini starter? That is definitely a correct big block starter. 1969 casting date could make it correct for '69 or '70 pending when in '69. Mine's a few years newer with a 3xxxx part number. Yours at 2875553 most likely correct for your car, someone will chime in for sure with a parts manual.

Looks different but I know you are correct and numbers don’t lie. The repair manual I am using is this one.

The starter number I see listed for 68-69 is 2095150

In reference to your door hinges check MoparLeo. He's a member here and located in Ca. He did mine and they're way better than just doing a bushing kit.

Just received my load from AMD. I think it’s everything all need to complete the rear end of the car.

Ok, tomorrow is my day to get some of this metal work started. I’m looking for some advice/input on how I plan to proceed. I have the rear frame rails supported equally on jackstands and I have the rear end supported with the floor jack so it does not hang and pull on the rear end. I have the new trunk floor tact in a couple places and I have the tail light panel lined up and clamped in to the lip of the trunk floor. I checked the top of the tail light panel with a 2 ft level and the bubble is centered. From here I plan on removing the passenger side quarter panel, doing some wheel tub repair and then lining up my new quarter panel. I’ll get that clamped and tact in a few places then I was going to move over to the driver side and do the same. From there I was going to clamp and tack in the new Dutchman panel, place the trunk extension pieces, and check the deck lid for fit.

Does anyone have advice or a thumbs up or down for how I plan to proceed? I really appreciate any input.

Got started early. I figured the quarter panel wasn’t even attached to the car passed the back window area. It was only hanging there so decided to cut it off. You can see the old repair that was done at some point. I’m curious what the number is on the repair panel. Lots of screws in bondo worms. I will remove the rest of the quarter panel and clean up those areas as well as remove loose rust and spray those areas with rust converter. I also have to do some repair to the wheel well both inner and outer.

Note to self.......it takes a LONG time to remove all of the quarter panel!!!! It’s off and I’m knocking some of the loose rust off. I need some advice, I was going to do some repair to the outer wheel tub but I’m thinking now I should replace the entire thing after seeing rust through in the top area. Thoughts? Or should I just patch?
