Andrew Whitworth delivers the most profound speech I’ve ever heard come out of the NFL. For all the NFL’s issues and hypocrisy there are still many good men that have used their platforms for enormous good. Andrew Whitworth is one such man. A legendary OT with the Los Angeles Rams and a man that’s been giving for decades. No teleprompter, no cue cards, just one athlete speaking to all of us directly from his heart as he receives the Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Lessons in it for all of us.

Very well done. Too bad there aren't more like him, that think about others... not themselves.

Two greats
& the man the award was named for...
Chicago Bears Walter Payton & Earl Cambell.jpg

great speech

there's a lot of majority of the NFL players are good people
(most/many seem to be devout Christian/faith-based, not that, that makes them better)
they don't seek the limelight or notoriety
they aren't hanging out at strip joints
or not all over social media
They just go about doing business, their good deeds/charities
it's rarely ever talked about
(you can thank the MSM for that)
Many/most have foundations to help the communities they came from
& the communities they no play for (not all tax dodges either)
like said before;
there's lil' to no press about all of that

Not political just the truth

it's the douches like 'Colan Peckerneck'
Liberal Colin Kaepernick Opressed by white people Clay Mathews.jpg

& the rest of the kneelers
the ingrates that give all professional sports & especially the NFL
a bad rap

other sports
like this douche, his socialist racist leaders league
Nothing Butt Assholes
D) LeBron James refuse stand National anthem-it's not played for pussies like you.jpg

ever notice BLM is MLB backwards too

Liked him as a Bengal.
Like him as a Ram.

Im rooting for the Bengals to win this one.

But ill be honest.
A Rams win wouldnt be a major disappointment.
As i think Stafford deserves it. And
Plus its a long time coming for Andrew Whitworth.

Just not a fan of the drama queen OD Beckham

I feel the same way about it all. Kind of a no lose game if that’s the way we’re thinking.

I’m right in the midst of reading the biography of the Man himself. “Sweetness - The enigmatic life of Walter Payton” Jeff Pearlman authored. The first 80-90 pages were largely about racial stuff - kind of a turnoff - but if that’s the way it was then in the Deep South that’s the way it was. This is a heavily researched biography not written to hide the facts of the time. I wasn’t raised that way in MN and knew little to nothing about it back then. I’m on to his college career at Jackson State U in MS. It’s a good read for anyone interested.
