I'm restoring a 69 super bee, build date June 6 69'. From my understanding and knowledge, early 69 bees ( August - Dec 68) did not have headrests or it wasn't mandatory. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if this is true, my bee would have headrests from factory given the build date.

Also, I have a correct bench seat but it doesn't have headrests from factory. I've been told under the upholstery of every bench post 68 has the head rest inserts, all I would need to do is find headrests and trim to make my bench work.

Looking for insight or correct info

Yes the provisions for headrest are there you will need all the hardware for them

Thanks for the help guys, going to take the upholstery off and take a look. Now need to track down some head rests
