Could always just cut the valves to be bigger!

That's what I did. They're at the shop rn, I'm gonna go with the stock intake valve but going to a 1.90 exhaust valve. Should be possible with a 2.19 intake, right?

I've ported hundreds of BBM heads, 2.08 and 1.74 valves will work just fine, the 1.88 is not a good thing nor is the 2.19 intake, it takes a lot to make them work for a small gain and sure way to find water.

Cast iron heads in unleaded cars have flame hardened seats only and first valve job it is gone

I only wish that was true, those seats are quite deep and harder than they need to be IMO.
