The underside is DONE !!!! The car is now a ROLLER again with 5 new RIGHT HAND thread axle bolts.…Terry Hornady is welding the last little spot on the Body around the Taillight, leaving just one small spot of Rust on the Inner Apron to take care of. Then just some molding holes to weld up. Also, The new Dream Garage at my house is really taking shape !! Garage doors are on hold because installer has covid, and the siding is being made as we speak....

Got back into the shop, We got the car out with the tractor, and got her off the lift side and back over to the other side, turned around and onto the Wheel cribs to start working Topside again. Fun when there is no steering or brakes at the moment, and the shop has a small hill to go down to get into shop. I'm finishing seam sealing the inside of the floorpans, and rocker that was replaced. I also started reassembling the Brake and steering area. Terry is freshening up the stick welder as he is getting ready to start on a A Model Roadster frame build after he recoups from Hip replacement surgery. He goes in for surgery the middle of next month. We are trying to get the 64 Passenger door gaps and allignment better. The hit on that side has moved things quite a bit.... we will hopefully get a fender on to work all the gaps etc etc, then its going to the Body shop, and they are going to Prep and paint the engine Bay,cowl area, Dash,Steering Column,Radiator support, and windshield post while Terry is recouping from surgery..... Then we will get the car back, and install the driveline, and get her running and driving before she goes back in for the Outside Body Painting !!!

Ha! You can tell the age of the restorers by the thick carpet! We need all the padding we can get!

Haha Thats part of it....Thats the "old" original shop, and the concrete sweats down there, so we carpet on it so the wheels, etc etc dont rust down there..... We'll pull it up if we do any work down there....

Worked on the door jamb to repair previous crash damage. As well as port a power to the windshield frame which was also jacked in. We’ve been doing Tram Guage measurements to get everything back to square…. Don’t wanna be “ Dog tracking “ !! Lol. You can see in the original photos how much of a lip the jamb had where it was shoved and rolled n….My finger disappeared in about a half inch, now, with the metal straight edge, you can see it’s flush as it should be. Ialso finished stripping a 5tyh ave that I bought for the spindles....I have a ton of M Body parts for sale.....

Working on the door gaps today. We've split the top of the rocker panel to reweld. Terry wasnt happy with the door gap on the bottom.... Put the old fender back on for alignment purposes…. It actually works better than the replacement one I got from a Belvedeer so Ill be stripping this one to use. floor pans are all done and coated. Still have under the rear seat area to seam seal and coat next….

stripped all the fenders, Finished the rocker panel Redo, worked the Gaps. Stripped the Passenger door,Previous metal Butchers had shaved off part of the front door so it would open past the fender. it amazes me still how much paint and filler was on this car. The wrecked replacement door and fender were Light Blue, were painted Chestnut Brown when they were put on, and then Had two coats of white after that. A Warm Wimbledon white, and then a Bright white.....We also had to work the rear of the door to get decent gaps. We are trying to do it right instead of just filling it full of Bondo again !!!! we have to make a lower patch for the drivers lower front. I'm using part of a sherman piece since i couldn't find an AMD lower for the passenger side. Our Goal is to have it over to the painter to do the firewall & Fenderwells by the 15th !!

Doing it right yields the satisfaction doing it wrong will never bring. Looking good!

Beautiful couple of days to work at the shop on the 64. I got the hood stripped and the hole cut for under the Hemi scoop. Terry Hornady’s working on patching the lower fender. All we have is a crap Sherman panel so he’s modifying everything to work. He’s having to save and rebuild the rear brace for it….Question for the group..... Has anyone ever smoothed the Raised center Bar part of the Hood at the front if they are using the Hemi scoop. I will definitely NOT run a molding, but I was kinda wondering how it would look with that part Shaved and smoothed ????

Another 8 Hours on the 64 today !! I finished sealing all the inside floorboards .We got the emergency brake cable system back on. I got the front crossbar and hood catch piece back on, so we Got the hood pretty much aligned with the fenders. Still have some tweaking to do on alignment, but getting pretty close. A few more holes to weld up on the fender apron and she should be ready to go to the Bodt shop for firewall and inner fender painting.
