That's exactly why I posted it
@Budnicks.
I've been telling and typing that to people for years. Now it's a ready link or an easy site Bookmark for everyone who sees it.
I don't really talk about my own car that often but am proud to say that I will own it 30 years on April 9.
It's what inadvertently launched this career 22 years ago while I was restoring it, a certified paralegal by day learning how to restore a car and coat brackets and pulleys and stuff at night and on weekends ... just like you guys do.
The plain and simple fact is that I was just another gearhead long before I was ever a business owner. I built this, and it literally changed my life.
I know anything you can do yourself will save you time and money while teaching you valuable skills that all work together to turn your dream into something you can drive.
The way I see it, whatever you don't spend here or on shipping can go to other parts for your car, gas, food, or dance lessons for your daughter.
That's also why my hourly rate is $40 with no flat rates instead of $250 an hour for basic black like my colleagues charge (!!!) ... because for the last fifteen years
YOU ARE THE REASON I CAN DO THIS JOB, pay my bills, and not have to spend 4 hours a day commuting to Memphis or Nashville to some law firm.
I won't be showing anybody how to do six color valve covers or fancy garage art until I get much closer to retirement, probably the day I die.
Which, judging by my bank account, will have me working at least til lunch that day ...
Anyway, all of the thanks go to all of you. This is just my way of Paying It Forward.
