College Grad in Tears After Experiencing First Ever 9-to-5 Job

Try in the office or warehouse at 5:30am
in the truck or out on the job site, to about 5:00pm
& then at home at my desk until 7:00pm daily, doing paperwork :blah:
many many Sat.'s too, even some nights too
'as to not disrupt foot traffic or reg business, at the dealerships
during the normal daylight buss. hrs'
every month too, for about 20+ years
running 3 businesses after 1997, just 2 prior
construction/facility management at automotive dealers
& a golf pro-shop (1997 & later)
& drag racing all over the place, it is a business
I just didn't account for it in hrs daily here

I did take off about every other week,
give or take 22 weeks a year
from later on wed. thru following mon./tues. until about noon
to travel or to go racing or Lisa's Rodeo stuff, load & go crap

if I was going out of state
or early like 3:00-3:30pm (still more than 8hrs)
on some wed. or thur. or fri. for test & tune sessions
I usually worked the wed. until like 3:00pm-ish
then got out on the road, trailer in tow
And usually when I got back, when traveling far, usually on mon.'s or tues.'s
I always went to the warehouse & 1st my office was there
to see if any fires 'needed attention'
& it's where I stored my race stuff there too...
I was always in contact with my customers remotely by cell phone or fax too...
My lead carpenter & employees still were there working too...
I still worked way, way more hrs, than any 9:00am to 5:00pm job ever has...

17 years of public education/college really did a fine job of preparing her for actual life

Yes, you’re so dramatic. Got nothing for you. You’re a grown up now. Deal with it.

yep , just think in 45 years or so you can retire! we’ll at least you’ll be old enuf to start ur social security retirement paper work … good luck sweetie….

That was some funny ****. Nobody here would see that video and feel sympathy for her except the forum idiots.
We all have dealt with long hours and long commutes.
I’ve left the house at 4:00 AM and rolled back in at 6:00 PM far more times than the OP has made spot welds in a classic car.
Her extensive use of the word LIKE isn’t annoying at all….
Damn cute young thing though. I know she is way too young for me but idiots like her are one reason to be grateful for NOT being single.

Her complaint about having to live out of the city falls on deaf ears.
Having no free time? Get used to it, idiot. You only have 30-40 years to go unless you marry some love struck dude that will work 60 or more hours a week to allow you to stay home.
Then she’d complain that she rarely sees him and that he is always tired.

Didnt watch the video but, likely spoon fed her whole life
LIkely never had a part time job.
Mommy and daddy likely paid for her "college education"

So in summary she has no reality of the value of a dollar.

Wait 'til she sees her paycheck....HA !!
What are these taxes, why are they taking my money every time !!!!
Why are the breaks so short !!
Lunch is only 30 min. long, WTF !!
I can't even cook my own dinner !!
I'm so tired !!!

Useless.
This is what is taking our places when we go, this country is F**KED.

we would have lived in a cardboard box.
I actually put a newspaper clipping of some dudes in a cardboard box down by the river on my fridge. The kids thought it was funny.
Talk about falling on deaf ears.

I worked for a contractor doing replacement windows. Wake up at 6:00am, drive 30 minutes to and at the shop no later than 7:15. Work until sunset which happens a bit later in the evening when you’re 8 floors up in an apartment building. Get home by 10:00pm, flip into bed, do it again in the morning. Did it 6 days a week. Made more money than my Dad did.

Then I went to work for the Railroad and worked more hours.

Suck it up honey! Find a good man and let him use all 3 holes vigorously at his whim, cook his dinner on time, rub his feet, wash his cloths and on his days off, wake him up with sausage in your mouth and then breakfast in bed like a good wife does.

She's lucky she found a job! No time to do anything she says. That's what the weekends are for. What a snowflake.
