I didn't read thru all 3 pages of replies, so my apologies if someone already mentioned this.... but I got this manual off of Ebay for my 67 Coronet. Tons of pictures and shows in great detail how all the panels are welded together. Nice resource to have IMO.

The op should create a youtube channel to let us follow along with his bright idea. I'm game to learn his technique of separating spot welded panels without cutting the spot welds or just some of them. Wonder how he does that? Did he develop some kind of "reverse spot welding tool" where you just zap it and the panels fall apart? That would be hella useful.
