Well....he did go down one last time. Sounds like he may have forced open a door to get out there. I wonder if on the way down he thought, "gee, I guess there was a good reason why they didn't want anyone out there". Not all selfies are free.

A French daredevil who gained social media fame by taking photos of himself on tall structures throughout the world fell to his death from a skyscraper in Hong Kong last week.

Remi Lucidi, known on social media as "Remi Enigma," was found dead in Hong Kong after authorities say he fell from one of the city's skyscrapers Thursday, according to a report from The Guardian.

Lucidi, 30, was found by police on the patio of an apartment and later identified by local media reports. He was found with his French ID and a camera used to film his participation in extreme sports.

Investigators believe Lucidi fell to his death from a ledge of the penthouse apartment building he entered earlier in the day, telling security he was there to visit a friend on the building's 40th floor. CCTV footage from the building showed he instead left the elevator on the 49th floor and used stairs to access the top floor of the skyscraper. Police say a worker at a penthouse apartment on the building's 68th floor reported that Lucidi had knocked on the window of the apartment around 7:30 p.m. Thursday and requested to be let inside, but the worker was suspicious and instead called authorities.

According to a report in the South China Morning Post, police say Lucidi may have been trapped on the building and was looking for help before the incident.

"It is possible that he got trapped outside the penthouse while practicing an extreme sport in the building, and he knocked on the window for help but accidentally fell to his death," a police source told the outlet.

Police then later received a call about a gas leak, which prompted officers to discover Lucidi's body. Authorities say Lucidi broke a gas pipe for the building during his fall.

Sad, but at least he 'died with his boots on', doing what he obviously loved to do, RIP.

I'll bet his last video is realistically frightening.......sound bite should be great.

Chances are he broke a few laws along the way in his search for fame and notoriety.

Broke a gas pipe on the way down...

bad way to go

The old adage, "The skies the limit"
not true in this case, as the the sky
scraper was. Most all who take on this
kind of risk succumb to it's allure.

What do you mean? Won't be down? Seems like he's down.....

The other old saying….it’s not the fall that gets ya, it’s the things you hit along the way and the sudden stop at the end!

Rest in peace!

It looks like he went "Down" for the last time!

Technically it wasn't the fall that killed him...it was the stop

But, but .... He died doing what he loved.

...... Well, maybe not exactly. He died right after doing what he loved.

He asked for help & didn't get it... Pretty much, "You got yourself into this mess, either you get yourself out of it or I'll get you help that you really don't want..."

Police say a worker at a penthouse apartment on the building's 68th floor reported that Lucidi had knocked on the window of the apartment around 7:30 p.m. Thursday and requested to be let inside, but the worker was suspicious and instead called authorities.

I'm way beyond any thrillseeking adventures. I admire folks like that that do these things, with the big, giant stones one needs to carry through. RIP.

"He died what he loved to do"...falling 70 stories to his death probably wasn't in his plan...just sayin'!
