Did anyone lose this beautiful tabby? We found him up the canyon and think he either ran away from his house or was dropped off. We fed him three cans of tuna and he still seemed hungry so we gave him a steak. He's a really big eater!!! He smelled really bad so we gave him a bath. He was not a fan of taking a tub, but he calmed down when I lit candles and dimmed the lights. Right now he is taking a nap with my two year old. So he will be refreshed when you come pick him up.

The tabby might become a problem in a few months!

All I can say, don't take on any stray dogs in your area!

cute when small and playful but when they get older some do not stay that way 28eff23ade0df70457cb96b2ed18aceb.jpgCougar-Mac_03-1024x585.jpg

Back in the late 80's strongly considered volunteering at Big Bat Rescue.

Back then, once you had a certain number of hours of training, they would let you take them home to foster.

It was a long drive, and I was young and had no money (or attention span), so it didn't happen.

I have seen one Panther in the wild.....between Haines City and Lake Wales FL.

I did not know this until a few years ago:

Panther, Cougar, Mountain Lion = same animal.

quit some time ago some friends had a male African lion cub. at 6 months it weighed over 100lbs, eat a few chickens a day, and was unmanageable. I seen it pull a 250lb man across a parking lot. it would try to chase car taillights at night. they said it's father weighed 500lbs. didn't last long as a pet.

On average I've bathed most of my cats exactly ONCE.

If they're dirty and flea infested when we get them...

After that they're self cleaning.

Anyone who bathes thers regularly must be a masochist.

Catamounts ( cougars) have been making a comeback in this area the last year or two. My wife saw one dart across our road 3/4 of a mile away. Not a big issue so far but I expect it will become one in the years to come as they build up their numbers. Lots of livestock standing around up here.
