The only other way to do it on my Polara anyway, would be to separate the rear lamps and have one brake and the other a turn signal on each side. Bypass the brake light portion of the TS switch. Naw, I'll wait for Dan to get some switches in.
C body switch will work. See other in this thread.I feel bad about this whole thing. Finally found the time to change the switch. It went well. Thought the Shee-Mar was fine at first. Discovered the weird rear lights flash position. Shee-Mar was great on the phone but that didn't fix my switch. Tried Dan. He is out. Hard to find OEM switch. Almost ready to bypass the turn signal switch for brake lights and just use the trusty old hand signals. Or just drive on straight roads and never turn.
Well geez I am sorry. When I opened my PM folder I got a notification that it was full and I accidentally deleted everything to clear it out. I am trying to get this car ready for what will certainly be the last car show my brother will be able to attend and I am in a real rush. Sorry for the trouble.I guess that's why you never responded to me after I took the time to dig out and take pics of my nos switch and the used one that you ASKED me for...
I just started looking for a fresh switch for my 63 Fury, and interested in the NOS if still available?I guess that's why you never responded to me after I took the time to dig out and take pics of my nos switch and the used one that you ASKED me for...
PM sent.I just started looking for a fresh switch for my 63 Fury, and interested in the NOS if still available?
What is Shee-Mar, it the who is repopping them?OK I got REAL lucky and a guy in Canada accepted my offer for a OEM Mopar switch for 62-63 so I just had to change the terminals to the 64 style. Night and day difference in feel compared to the Shee-Mar switch and everything works perfectly. I will still want to order one of Dan's switches for a spare. I believe the Shee-Mar is a decent alternative if you want to make sure the brake lights work. I was able to finesse my Shee-Mar and make the signals work and avoid the strange flashy rear light thing but I didn't really like that.

Just an off shore company that repops the switches. They have been found to be no good by many members. What is Shee-Mar, it the who is repopping them?

No. Other companies make them. Unless the supplier tells you, the manufacturer isn't known. Same part numbers may be a clue. What is Shee-Mar, it the who is repopping them?

10-4No this 64 does not have 4 ways. It's a weird glitchy spot int he new switch. I was just wondering if other people had seen the same thing. I can work around it - the brake lights are fine now. The turn signals work and cancel. I just have to make sure the switch doesn't land in the spot that flashes the rear lamps. I am in search of a higher quality switch. My brother has owned this car for 48 years and it deserves a good switch!!!!!
I see the early B body switches are $350.Mopar Performance replacements available around 10-15 years ago got the cornering lamps feature under the regular 72 and lates A,B and E body setup. These were just like the Chinese replacements, without the bearing for the horn ring, but just the brass stud.
Turn Signal Switch# 3488804 / 4240278 / 4293103 - 1973-79 - Dodge - Plymouth - Chrysler - NOS - SHIPS FREE TO LOWER 48 - Blue Star Performance
I have also seen Mopar replacements like this but using the correct PN (the 804) for our 72 and lates cars.
Can’t recall Mopar Performance replacements for earlier models with cornering lamps.

Their headquarters are in Longmont Colorado. But, doesn't make much difference if they aren't any good. See post #13.I'm pleased you have first-hand contact with them.... there are so many shady sellers making all sorts of wild claims of authenticity.![]()

" " I talked to Seth in Tech help at Shee-Mar. He explained that it's an old design that they continue to make in the US to help out the old car hobby. The spacing of the contacts and the operation of the switch can lead to the issue I described above and they know about it. I appreciated the honesty as it will save me the trouble of trying another of the same. I can work around the little glitch while I look for a "better" switch. " "

I don't but the quote was from another member that did contact them. The power of sharing information.I'm pleased you have first-hand contact with them.... there are so many shady sellers making all sorts of wild claims of authenticity.![]()
