Exhaust tip hangers question

Yes, the rubber bends down 90*. Note they use a J nut clipped into the frame rail hole. Can't show you a picture as I'm at camp. Pics are on my desk top at home..

I was looking at the frame rails, but its pretty well covered with undercoating. So am going to look again and see if I can chip away and find those holes.

Hi all,

Not to hijack but I have the same exhaust question on a '69 Bee. On those exhaust hangars pictured on Josh's build, I notice that there is a small tab towards the inside of the frame rail. I also can see/feel an elongated hole on the inside of the frame rail, presumably where that tab should slide into then bolt the hangar to the bottom of the frame. Is that tab absolutely necessary? I'm not seeing an exhaust bracket with those tabs. Maybe I'm seeing it incorrectly.

Edit - just found them. Yup.. you need the tabs for extra support.

Thanks,
Mikey
