I way I look at it: 68-70's look like 68-70's and 71-74's look like 71-74's. I drove a '71 to high school as a junior and senior, so I can justify my preference. If I had driven a BBody one year older, I probably would have a different preference today.

I drove a 69 Charger R/T back in high school and really didn't like the the 71-2 B's until about 20 years ago when a bought a couple 71 Plymouths. I fell in love with the 71-2 Plymouths. Have owned a few 71-2 Chargers but really love the Plymouths more.
Yes they are modeled after the 70 E-body and yes they do drive better than the 70 and older models.
I will always like the 69 Chargers and Road Runners but as of late I'm board with them as I am with E-bodies. That is why I'm building a Dart.

Not in my bible. I slammed a lot of exotics, quasi-exotics with all 3 of my bone stock, 318 b-bods straightening out tight roads. Just a decent footprint & some nosedive.

...but I agree with the generality that 71-74 B is basically an E body with a usable back seat and trunk
