How they got those shots. Vanishing point, would like to see what’s out in front of the car.

A New Zealand movie from 1981 - directed by Geoff Murphy (also - The world's fastest Indian) ...funny how the southern city of Invercargill features in both movies. :D

A similar Mini to the one used by Mr Bean.

When I made my home movie in 1998-99, I made camera mounts that attached to the car. I had one on the right side behind the door. The VHS camera could be faced forward or backward to get either shot. I had a front bumper mount as well as mounts for the bed of my truck facing rearward. I would hit RECORD then just drive. I have hours and hours of footage that I had to shoot just to get the few seconds needed for the scenes.

Crap. You imagine the weight of all the movie equipment back then. Compared to todays computer generated tech. ?
