This week I made the following changes:
-replaced 5/16” fuel line with 3/8”, installed new fuel tank sender, hp fuel pump, and mopar vapor breaker with 1/4” return line.
-removed blue pump cam and installed a much smaller green cam.
-replaced 160* thermostat with 180*.
-Lowered rear float in carb.
-Checked front float, needle and seat and were all good.
-minor carb tuning tweaks.
-adjusted pump lever arm spring.
Test drive this morning was perfect. No flooding or stalling up to 75mph. It’s only 48* this morning, so we’ll see how it does driving home when it’s 75*.
I’m hoping the monster blue pump cam was the issue. The other changes were ones I just wanted to do anyway. I believe it’s happier in general at 180* as well.
