Fuel Line Flare

I'm making my fuel lines. Mostly hard line [5/16] but will use fuel hose where necessary.

Quick question. What flare should I use on the hard line where it joins the hose? No flare, double flare, bubble flare??

a little bubble.. that's just me though.. some people don't flare but i'm crazy paranoid about random gas spraying around, every bit helps

Yep, a little bubble flare would be perfect for mating to rubber hose with a clamp. For steel lines, a single flare would be ok. Brake line you buy pre flared will be double flare of course. If you are using bulk steel line, you could use either flare.

Especially in Western NY.
We've worked on trucks with 2-3 sets of abandoned lines underneath.
Copper-nickel is permanent

I like to use a bubble flare. With the low pressures involved it’s probably not critical but it does give me some peace of mind.

BUT.. pretty much like this.. just don't crank it down so hard to where it flattens...
