Hi guys,
Has anyone here replaced trunk torsion springs with gas struts? I'm having clearance issues and this seems to be an alternate option.

I did on my 69' Dart, worked out great!

Can you provide some details and photos, please?

I'll get some pics up today.

I'm about to on the Express. I think it will have to be mounted on a small bracket hanging down from under the trunk seal rails on both sides. I planned to compress the lifts to the shortest length and place them where the full open length puts the lid at the open angle I want and the bottom end where the lift is most compressed when the lid is closed. Should be easy IMO. Those lifts come in many different opening lengths and lift capacities.

My camera has died, but I have pics on my Iphone. So if somebody can post them, I'll send them to ya.
