Gasser & Nostalgic Racing Post - Up !

Here is some of the Motown Missile.

Notice the computer in the back of the car. They were one of the first to use data systems to measure crank speed/drive shaft speed/wheel speed/ oil pressure/water temp. etc etc.
If you noticed Riffels Rod Shop Demon that had the all the string taped to the car in the above post. They use to do that testing to measure airflow... the fun job was the guy who had to hang out the wind of the vehicle in the other lane to take the pictures.

The Rod Shop and the Missile were way ahead of their

KD Belverdere 1 - Very interesting info & pictures.

I work for a farm machinery company developing new machines. We now put the same computers on our prototype machines to monitor performance when being used in the field.

Super77, I did see them and they are some cool shots. After going back I see I double posted a couple but some were different. keep the shots coming.

I know a few guys that worked at the Rod Shop the stories are awsome.

Thanks

I work for CNH - CaseIH and New Holland farm machinery brands. We are owned by Fiat, who now also owns a big piece of Chrysler.

Ma Snart[/QUOTE

Yha, didn't Fiat own New Holland who use to be Ford, then New Holland bought Case.

Ford bought New Holland, Fiat bought Ford/NH but Ford would not allow them to use the Ford name. So Fiat renamed the company New Holland

I started working for IH in 1980. In 1983 Case (owned by Tenneco) bought IH Ag. CaseIH lasted untill 1999 when Fiat (owner of New Holland) bought us and created CNH (CaseNewHolland).

In 1996 CaseIH did a very deep study to buy New Holland, but we incorrectly listened to our lawyers who told us that the US government would not allow the 2 companys to merge together because of the monopoly it would create. We even approached the executives at Fiat about the purchase. This planted the idea at Fiat and 3 years later they bought us.

It has been a wild ride since. Things really got sorted out when Sergio Marchionne showed in 2006. He was the leader we needed (and Chrysler needs). I have met with him a number of times to get investment approval on variuos new product programs. He is intense, but has a good sense of humor and loves fast cars. He told me (before getting involved with Chrysler) that one of his favorite cars was the Hurst Hemi Under Glass. He is an A Body guy!

Ma Snart

Here is a chart of the flow of company mergers in Ag.

Very sweet picture. You have an awesome truck!!! Let us see some pictures.

Ma Snart

I've had the truck since the early 80's. I used to go to the races every other Sunday during the season in the late 60's with my brother. It has tube-type Chrondek timers and a home-made starter box with handicap. The tree still works!!!:toothy10:

The truck became the timing tower and announcers stand. Dave McClelland (The VOICE of the NHRA) started here....
