Glazed cyl walls?

Yes, you are right. I didn't think to check ring position on the pistons, but they are still in the same spot. So I'll check that, as well as ring end gap. Funny, but these pistons say 5020 Std at the wrist pin. But it's a 1967 383 block! So I don't think they bored the block. Noticed some errors and minor bearing scratches that must have been done on assembly. I don't think the builder was as careful about contaminants as I normally would be.
