Picked one up from the local pawn shop on Friday. I thought it was new but it had been fired before as there was some brass flakes in the slide but the feed ramp looked like new still. The soon to be X wants her model 23 back so, pulled the trigger on the 22 (pun intended). I know a lot of people do not like Glocks but for a carry weapon, it'll do the job and since I'm not the worlds greatest at cleaning my guns, I feel good that it will not jamb and still shoot reasonably well at close range and yeah, I've tested the 23 before when it was really dirty lol. Fired 3 rounds through it yesterday in the shop just to make sure it did work but will likely keep this one cleaner since I like it much better over the 23...and the clip holds 2 more rounds and fits my hand mo betta. :D

I have glock 17, shoots very nice I like it a lot. Just picked up that extendo clip for it at my local gun show too, now I’m a real gangster.

I actually didn’t buy the 33rd mag for it My wife bought it thinking I would like it, It’s hideous.

Ya I hear that, my XDM is .45 caliber the extended mag holds 14 I think, hard pushing them big 45 rounds in there

Wasn't looking for another .40 but well, it was there plus I have several boxes of .40 ammo that 'she' isn't about to get. Friday after lunch, a buddy and I stopped in to the local pawn just to look around. It's been weeks since stopping in and the place is a usual stopping point. Buying a gun wasn't EVEN on my mind but after doing some checking on prices etc, my gut said to do it....and it's mine.

And now to really get the thread going, wondering about Gen 2,3,4? John Browning only had to do a Gen 1!!! Lol. Well technically, the 9mm Hi-power was the Gen2 I guess.

I have a Gen 4 Glock 22. Great gun. I have shot thousands of rounds through it and it had NEVER jammed... EVER. I have a few die hard gun buddies. For some reason, they hate Glocks. Actually, they don't hate Glocks, they hate "Glock fans". They say Glock fans are to guns what Corvette and Harley Davidson guys are to cars and bikes, (sorry, their words, not mine... no disrespect to any Harley guys around here) :)

Hate to say it, but that's been my experience also, sadly.
The gun maker itself, I don't have much issue with - guns are tools, after all, and as far as going BANG every time you pull the trigger goes, Glocks have the reputation of being rock solid reliable.
I don't care for the brand simply due to the grip angle, which I find unnatural; I have to pull the nose down to get the front sight when I shoot any mid or full size Glock.
My PPQ and P320 are "naturals" - pick 'em up and there's the front sight, boom.

That being said, I'm currently shopping for a new carry gun (concealed and hopefully small, although my meathooks say otherwise) and I find myself drawn to both the 26 and even the 43, both of which I shoot fairly well.
Owner of a store I was in last weekend says that's because those are so small that the grip doesn't even come into play. He could be right.

My pinky won't fit on a 43 it feels weird

I always shyed away from the glocks too, then I bought one in .40 back around '08...shortened the trigger pull, installed night sights and an extended mag release....feels great I've been very happy with it.

Yeah, most of the "sub-compact" guns are that way with me. Some I can't even get my ring and pinky fingers on.
The Glock 26 is odd to me because the grip is sort of normal sized around but stubby in length, too. Strange. Worked with one at the range one day and after the first box, got to where I could hit with it, but man, that one will mess with your head. :)
