I'm curious as to what black paint is used to touch up and or recolor the rear taillight surround and the headlight and turn signal slats on a 66, I've been told flat black, satin black, even gloss. Is there a brand that I should look for?
SEM makes a Trim Black. I used it on all my trim on my ‘66 Belvedere. Looked nearly identical to the original color and texture. Disclaimer: Your Charger may be different.
I used the satin as it is easier to clean than matte the grille gets bug guts, and road grim but I don't care about absolutely 100% correct
I use SEM trim black, but have used Dominion Sure Seal self etch primer first on some trim. How much does the car sit in the sun? I am fairly certain that what I use will last years.
Here's a post on restoring the grille. https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/painting-the-headlight-buckets-and-grille.215266/
