She'll be tucking them into her pants in a few years!! LOL

The wife and I get what we call the Pancake sleepies after eating them. I love having them for breakfast but they do leave me wanting a nap.

Hence the reason we have begun calling them "napcakes"

Bisquick or a mix, with tons of butter...not margarine...and Vermont Maple Syrup. Only the real stuff from Vermont and that is what I grew up with thanks to a Mom that knew the difference from the fake stuff! Or...at times butter and powdered sugar when the pancakes are Blueberry ones...MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

Does the OP also apply to :

Griddle cakes?

Flap jacks?

Johnny cakes?
Since I honestly cannot say I have had any of those, I would be happy to try them out.

One thing is.....do Johnny cakes contain condoms? :poke:

Pancake sandwich for me. One large pancake on the plate, apply some real butter, top with two eggs (over easy), little salt , and syrup; then put second large pancake on top of this followed by more butter and syrup. Let the syrup soak in for a minute then add more syrup (never enough). Enjoy

for about 20 years now I eat a brunch at like 10:30am-11am
& eat dinner at 5:00pm to 5:30pm-ish, 2 is plenty of meals for me
(eating hrs are like living in a senior home now)
I live with an old fart (87 y/o father) who eats breakfast
'religiously' & 3-4 courses worth daily
as soon as he gets out of bed, he shakes like a tree's leaves in wind, until he does
like detoxing from all the multiple Rx meds he takes

Just give me a nice hot cup of coffee, I'm good

Not a big pancake fan/guy, don't do many breakfasts
my dad does like them waffles ever so often too
I make a decent batter
I do a lil' bisquick, a lil' enriched flour, a lil' dash baking powder, lil' dash cornstarch
almond milk or reg milk, depends, a couple eggs/whipped 1st, mix it all up
(occasionally add fruit or nuts of his likings)
get the griddle/waffle maker hot, prior to the batter, brush with a lil' melted butter
ladle in the batter/mix & cook, about 2/3 coverage, close the lid (waffle maker)
when the light goes off they're done
serve hot
pretty much the same thing for pancakes, just on a flat pan
(freeze the leftover waffles, dad toasts them & eats them quick)

When or if I do,
I like my waffles simple, like my breakfasts, just a lil' butter & syrup
'Aunt Jamima' whateverthef--k it's name is now,
still has the bottle shape of Aunt Jamima

when I did still eat them & eat breakfast regularly,
I liked butter & usually some sort of berries,
I don't do bananas at all, or ever (barf)
I would do/cook in blueberry (any berry) or almonds or pecan in pancakes every so often
usually stand alone, no eggs no sausage :blah:

give me a good hot cup of coffee, I'm good

I don't want to get fat (Or fatter) like the rest of the family/friends
that does all the fixings, along with all the crazy carbs too...
I want to take a dang nap after all that stuff, no thanks...

I'd rather have eggs & sausage/or bacon lots of bacon, or eggy tatars/scrambled

Do you file-fit the rim, or just take it straight from the pan?

How many degrees of advance do you put into your stacking?

Do you need a trailer hitch or jumper leads to get moving after a pancake meal?

took me a bit but I get it now...

a lil' slow on the uptake

Are you a syrup guy or just plain old melted butter only?

I have a nice sour cream pancake recipe that turns out really light and fluffy. Then butter and maple syrup. Although I have been known to enjoy a slathering of applesauce on top of all that as well.

I need to get some more of this. It's finished in a bourbon barrel. @Scott Engelhardt
