How tight is it safe to lash street Hemi valves

I've run .024 and .028 on a hemi with iron heads and the sky didn't fall. Factory spec is .028 and .032.
 
Make a cover with inspection plates then no need to remove everything. Make the covers out of lexan then you can watch the valve train while running.
