How to decode a 727 transmission?

Count the sections with dots in them and that is number of months into 1961 the case was cast. Six sections with dots is June 1961. Ten sections is October 1961, etc. It is a 1962 model year transmission
Stumper, each dot represents a week in that month. With a perfect casting all of the sections with dots in them will have 4 dots, except one section will have between
1 - 4 dots. Using R/T Boy's example of June; 5 of the pie sections will have 4 dots and if the 6th section has 2 dots that will be the 2nd week of June 1961. Unfortunately, the castings aren't always perfect so sometimes a section of the pie that is supposed to have 4 dots in it will have less than that, so, assume that all of the sections have 4 dots except the last one in the series.

I can't figure it out either.....and there's no PK prefix, 2892093L2680 1788 and that's how it's stamped on the pan rail. And is the last 4 digits the date code? If so, it's 6/20/1966 and I don't remember taking a 66 big block car apart. Actually, don't remember it at all!

This one?

093 transmission behind a '69 383 or 440 HP engine.
Asesembled Thursday, November 28, 1968.

Check the VIN to see what it came out of.
Where's the VIN on the trans. The numbers I posted are the only numbers I can find.

Look for a pad on the passengers side. That tranny is early enough to have the full 13 characters.

Was looking along the pan rail....and once I got the grim off, it's RM23H9G190434. Tough to read it but after shining a flashlight 100 different ways, I think that's right and it comes up to be from a 69 road runner.

Did you happen to get a clear picture? I'd like to add it to my 69 B body data base please.
