pro form..more bang for the buck
bingoall those carbs have the same venturi area and throttle bores and they're based on the holley 850. i don't think it makes any difference.
Pro form makes carb bodies for everyone. Quick Fuel, Holly both use them. Holley is just a name. Since their Bankrupcy years ago a great deal is out sourced overseas. Cheaper labor, lower regulations and skills in the third world for manufacturing. But you are correct the bodies are made by proform.it is interesting to note that the Quick Fuel carb IS the Proform. look at the spec's, read what option's the both have and even Quick Fuel states that they use the preform body. and the Proform carbs are assembled by Quick Fuel. the only difference is the Proform is purple and the quick fuel is red. Other then that your buying the name. take a good look at them both, the Proform has all the benefits as all the other at a substantially lower cost. I am not sure if the Holley has billet metering blocks as well as a billet base plate( a common failure in Holley carbs). just my humble opinion:toothy10:
