image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hey guys just received my wizard radiator. Definitely fits with the electric fans and everything looks great except that even on this radiator the lower driver side bolt hole is not lining up. It’s actually in the exact same position that happens to fall on the cold case radiator where the outer tab of the notch is basically over the front of the bolt hole. The front of my car has not been altered or hit or replaced or anything. Apparently both companies have the same issue to work on.

Looks cool! Does it take a super duper heavy duty alternator to run those fans?

Nope, regular. That’s one thing I made sure of. 4-9 in fans. With that said I am running a modern single wire alternator. I think it’s already providing more power or more efficient.

At least this one will physically fit with your electric fans. Do you know if that one would work with a factory style clutch fan? Or is that why you went electric?

I guess it's safe to assume that the alternator is internally regulated. How many amps is it capable of and who makes it ??

Just position it where it fits best and mark where the slot needs to be. Modify with an air saw as needed.

Wizard made 2 rads for us a few years back.On for a 73 Cuda big block without electric fans.
              Very good workmanship.
The other was for a blown big block tilt front end car that we designed and sent to them to make.We needed special brackets and such to mount the rad in the car. They sure are into multiple electric fans. They installed 6 fans on the blower car.
Necessary ? Not really but the owner was after the cool looking factor.

I just want to drive my Bee and not worry at all about whether the car is getting to hot. I’ve over heating issues with past cars. I know this can happen for many reasons. I just don’t want my fan/radiator to be the issue.

I now have a Wizard radiator in front of my 440. With stock shroud and the short hayden clutch & its a perfect fit. Been on about 5 years now.

I think your good, I'm running just 2, 10" or 11" Spal fans and mine doesn't overheat. Combined CFM is what matters, if I remember correctly I was shooting for 3,000 CFM but am a bit under that with no trouble.

I run the Griffin (best aluminum radiator in the biz - and you'll pay for it), a stock shroud
                    and a 7-blade direct drive fan. I don't fight overheating anymore - ever - and there's no
concerns about failing electrics or fans or additional wiring or such.
In fact, if I were to paint the radiator, the whole she-bang would look quite stock - but
then, I ain't looking to impress anyone with all that bling, either. :)
