It’s so hot had to freeze the vasoline

Doing a fuel pump today and it’s hot!
Like ambient temperature hot. Put some vasoline on the fuel pump push rod and it kept sliding out. Ok, maybe a little more annnnnnd slide out again. Ok, maybe a little higher on the shaft. Annnnd slide out again. After 20 minutes in the freezer (rod and lube) all is well. Did I say it’s hot?
