I'm looking at the KD-2727HT kit for a 69 road runner with a 440, RPM intake and Demon carb. Can anyone shed some light on this kit....does it come complete plug and play or does it need more parts like a bracket or two etc? Sent an email to the company but no reply yet.

I have used that one with the bracket specifically made for the Sniper as well. Easy enough to install, for a man like yourself with good experience. :)
Just be sure to not cut anything until you have read the instructions several times. red them again when you are ready to set-up, and before any cuts. Trust me on this. Kick-down is easy to adjust also....get your park & Neutral inhibits setup with an assistant - makes it easier.
Again...pictures stolen/swiped.borrowed for another website...

Was about to ask you about that American Valiant sitting over there with that guy pinned under it :D

The only way I ever got the Lokar kickdown to work properly was to use the short lever in the top row in the pic below and install a return spring to pull the lever forward at idle.

You can use it by itself if you make your own bracket but the most bolt on way to go is get their throttle bracket also. SRK4000.

I used the SRK4000 bracket, setup was pretty simple, straight forward, and works great. It's a nice setup, you will like it.

I installed one on my Coronet, along with the throttle cable specific to Fitech EFI. I thought the instructions were very well laid out. When adjusting the lockdown, pull the cable as tight as you can. The first time I didn't adjust it tight enough and the shifting was sloppy. Went back and tightened it up and the trans shifts real nice (also has a shift kit installed). And I concur with Dipstick post #7; installed a return spring at the lever.
