This is kinda serious, now that practically half the planet stay at home, the kids spend more and more time playing video games, I found this interesting not because we are lazy, we like physical work, work an cars require phisical labor not to mention restore one, a lot of today's kids don't even ride a bike anymore.

funny this topic should come up..
ive been thinking about this and the whole Entitlement/Youth issues lately.
i think the newer video games are partially responsible.

so...heres my thinking and observations.
ive had some time recently to actually use my xbox, and i threw in the halo 5 game.
in the first nite of playing i unlocked around 10 Achievements...
i said to myself then, this is Odd.
from there on,ive unlocked id guesstimate around 30....all for doing Basic things in the game.
kill so many, finish this chapter, use so many vehicles, change your helmet style/id/names/logos.
each with their own " achievement "etc etc.

this is definitely overkill on the whole achievements and sure makes me think the games are catering to entitlement for these kids Bigtime.

in other words,as a gamer,an old school gamer,
back when achievements meant you actually Did something hard and unique.
ive Never seen this many achievements for the Simplest tasks imaginable.
its like a handout every hour,to keep them thinking they are " special "

youth that are great at video stuff
is/are making good money now too, some even paid to play
Professional gamers !!!

the military even found many of their skill viable

who'd have ever thought ?

good for some of them,
the rest seemingly can't get off their asses, unless it's to party
or get out of their parents basements or grandparents houses
get out in the real world & not the "so called" virtual world
(not all but many)

me & mine (my nephew & my oldest) used to play Grand Tourismo
& a few others, mostly motocross/ATV or Golf, other sports
"a lot"... like a couple hrs at a time straight,
4-6 hr marathons sometimes, one was into adventure role character games,
I hated those..
I must say, they turned out pretty dam well, we will still play every so often,
when we all get together still...

as long as they do something else, get outside & live life
not in-front of a damn screen or on their damn phones

BTW, His Jeep steering wheel is delaminating and being replaced. Me being me I had to kid him. Told him to back off on the white knuckle death grip while on the hills.

I got one who plays video games all night and sleeps all day,he won't get a job, and when you try to talk to him about it, he doesn't want to hear it. He went to school, got his associates degree, and his bachelors degree, he worked for a couple years and saved his money, but the last job had a lot of down time, and he got into gaming with the extra time. He hasn't worked for a year and a half, and he's frugal with his money so it has lasted all this time. He plays the game all night with his other mid twenties friends who all live with their parents and don't work. Now with the Covid pandemic my hands are tied trying to push him to get a job! I told him that he should be out there killing it and saving for a home and a car,he has no interest in that and gets very angry when you try to discuss it with him! I told him that 25 is gone, you wasted your time playing video games and you will never get 25 back again! His mother is kind of an enabler, so that doesn't help things!

Did you trying to lure him into work with one of your chargers?
There is this thing about became a professional gamer, they made money posting online their progress in a particular game, a few made it big but is a choice, I've been playing games since I was a kid and still do but always in my free time and never let them interfere with my "real " life, 44 years old now, only four more years and my house is completely mine, not rich l, but I managed to buy a 68 Coronet, I wish you good luck with the young men, is not easy to go out to the world and find a way into it.

this story reminds me of a former associate of mine.
i met him doing cars down in southern new york.

the worlds nastiest videogamer
this guy...is around 55,overweight and rarely works,
lives with his mother, and plays some world of warcraft something all day and all night.
i thought people were joking until the day i had to pickup a vehicle at his place.
i literally stood outside for almost an hour while waiting for him to come out.
so i went ahead and loaded the vehicle.
during this,i got to hear him screaming and yelling at his mother, because he was " playing the game !! " and " i was gonna have to wait !! "
when he came out,he was incredibly angry, apparently he got blown up ingame.
i looked at him, then at his mother and sister, and told him " dont ever call me again "
this idiot, looks at his mother and asks her what she said to me.
i replied that he had a serious problem in life and he should get help.
he flared right up and i just squared up and Looked at him,and he went in the house.
i never talked to him again, but there are some seriously fkked up people out there.
i really felt bad for his mother and sister, what a goon.

As long as the real world is still a priority and real issues are being taken care of, have fun. Look at us, how much time do we spend on this forum and still take care of business. Kids are different than we were only because of the new technology. Only time will tell.

Ain't no way he came from my loins! When I get home I m gonna punch his mama in the mouth! Lol

I bought him a 68 Charger about 10 years ago, he has not shown much interest in it.
Daddy!!! Remember me ? Am your lost but beloved Mexican son, my mom tell me to tell you to remember that blurry acid trip to Guadalajara in April 1975, can I have a charger 68? I promise I take care of the car...
Just kidding:lol:

I play to clear my mind and relax for about half an hour and not every day when the day is long and my wife is not home, she said that the console she gave me was the worts present ever, happy wife = happy life..

My kids and I tend to play allot of video games also lately. It all started with the Covid and quarantine. I can't say that I am a big fan of them however its one great way to pass some time when there is nothing else to do. I recently bought an amazing set up from Allienware with the money that I've been saving secretly from my wife while playing some part time casino on an amazing platform that easied everything for me. For those who want to get more information about it feel free to get on here https://linkw88moinhat.com/ Now that ive found an extra income and got my own Monster pc I can proudly say it that i am happier than ever, can't say the same about my wife.
What language is that link you posted. It took me to a foreign language website.

Might be time for some "tough love". Kick his *** out, he'll have no choice but to get a job.
