Got the motor up on the engine stand today and started pulling her apart. I'm quite pleased.
Every single bolt came out with no issue, no broke off heads stuck parts ext.
Motor turned over beautifully, and the cylinders all look good with nice crosshatch finish.
Timing chain was a little loose, but other than that, motor appears to be in excellent condition.
The plan is to refresh and warm up a bit with a Summit 6401 Cam and some 440 Source Stealth heads, Aluminum dual plane intake, schumacher headers, and aluminum water pump housing to put her on a diet and get her closer to the weight of my small block 360 that's currently in my 71 Duster.
