Due to a bad mini-starter I damaged the converter as well, and would like to know what you think would be suitable.

512 cui
12.4 static comp
about 9.2 dynamic comp
2.91 rear sure grip
TF-2 shift kit, bands and clutches beefed up, bolt-in sprague etc.
Cam is a fairly mild Lunati xxx703 (http://www.lunatipower.com/Product.aspx?id=1579&gid=362)
Stealth unported heads with 1.6 roller rockers
Mopar M1 single plane intake with E85 port injection.
Hooker 1 7/8" headers with full 2 1/2" exhaust.

Car (67 Charger) is street driven with the occasional burnout.

Do you think this converter B&M 10415 - B&M Holeshot Torque Converter would be suitable?

Or would something else be better?

Contact PTC. Very friendly and great service. Give them the specifics of your engine

PTC or Ultimate Converter Concepts ask for Lenny.

I used these guys and had great luck in price, workmanship, shipping and customer service as I was trying to figure what stall I needed for the 512 stroker. I went 3000 and is perfect for street driving and getting on it once in a while!

I would call Frank Lupo in Newark Delaware. He is The Mopar King. Dynamic Converter is the company name.

With what you have a custom unit is the way to go. Number one is Lenny at Ultimate. The most expensive but well worth the cost. PTC would be my second, Dynamic 3rd.

That sucks Martin! I would call Dynamic Converter and give them all your info and they'd recommend the right one for you.

Thanks Reed, yes Dynamic looks good too!
I've found that it's maybe possible to replace the ring gear only...I'll have a closer look tomorrow...

Moper called it right. depends on application. If street driver you could pick anyone but, if your putting something in front ot it thats got some kick I would go with Ultimate just because very very strong stuff.

Myself I run a Dynamic converter and love it in my street/strip car as they hit it just right for my car. These are all good company's so you will have to go with the one that sounds the best for you and then call them and give them all the specs you can think of about the car which they should ask you anyway. Good luck , Ron
