The boys and me aren’t used to working on a nice done car. We are terrified we are going to dent or scratch it.

Summit brand. SUK-6400 288/289 duration. 444/466 lift. I know. Small cam. Trying to calm this ole girl down. Didn’t build this motor. Lots of odd ball stuff. Pistons are out the hole 10 to 15 thousandths. Using the thicker felpro head gaskets to try and lower the compression even a little bit.

Good on ya for getting the 383 back together so quick. That’s great.

Indeed, ‘tis my birdie. I’m fortunate enough to live within driving distance to Dave’s shop. He can address my checklist faster than I can earn the dough to pay for it. Ha ha! Really though, worth it for me to have the car safe and ready to enjoy way sooner than I could. He’s THE man for everything Mopar and I’m happy he could fit me in.
