New from Minnesota

Welcome to FBBO Dave. I see you have MM tractors. Any Co-ops? We used to have a 1943 Co-op #3 with the Dodge running gear. 40 horse flathead 6 and 5 speed transmission and logging truck rear end. Pretty neat old tractor. I always liked the MMs too. I grew up in the Mankato area so there were quite a few of them around in the 60's.

Thank you! And yes I have one Co-op. It's a Co-op E4, not sure on the year though. There sure are a lot of MM collectors here in southern Minnesota!

Where in the Mankato are did you grow up?

I'm a die hard Deere guy but a CO-OP #3 is one tractor I need. Quite a few Moline nuts in my area.

Welcome aboard

Nice cars ,good project,like that Biscayne,had a 67 and a original 69 427-425 hp 4 speed,wish I had it back !

Dave, My folks had a farm south of Mankato near Good Thunder. They sold the farm in the late 70's and the Co-op tractor was bought by some guy that put a tank engine in it and used it in tractor pulling competitions. I never saw it again after that so don't know what ever became of it. There is a guy called Tractor Tom in the Black River WI. area that has a few Co-op tractors that he shows. I saw three of them last year at the "Big Rig Show" here in Eau Claire last year. I don't know if he would part with any of them though. There was another #3 on a farm by Ladysmith WI. years ago but I heard it was sold. Don't know of any others.

I work in Mapleton, so not too far from Good Thunder. I've seen a tank powered puller at the Pioneer Power Show in Le Sueur MN. Don't remember what brand of tractor they started with.
Be cool to have a #3 for sure.

Reed

We had a #3 growing up on the farm and I remember the day I got in trouble again. These tractor had about a 30 mph road gear and I would lay down between the loader and the tractor and grab the rod going to the governor, pull and get the tractor almost to 50. Pasted the mailman one day and then he ratted me off and then came the trouble.!!

hi welcome aboard looks like a nice project you have there .
