No low ball offers or time wasters!

Looked like each quarter panel had a dent in it. The body didn't look all that great and black is an unforgiving color
TRUE, but again does it have any rot? Is it solid underneath? Are the floor boards/trunk solid? A few minor dings and dents are no big deal. The point is we can make fun of the guy all day but if someone really wants this type of car it could be gotten for a reasonable price. You just don't know what goes through folks mind and more then once i went to see a car/truck/machinery were the item was over priced. I talked to the guy told him i wasn't a buyer at that price but always was respectful, never dismissed the guy as a ***. More than once i got a return call and made a deal for the item.... Not saying thats the case here but one never knows

I'm tempted to shoot him an offer of $4K. Just to waste his time.

Sure the guy is out of reality with the price but consider this.... Hows the body on this car? Its still a 69,desirable year, body style. My take would be ,assuming the body is in excellent shape and someone really wanted that year, id contact the guy,get a dialog open and tell him heres my contact information and if you don't sell it call me. So say maybe, just maybe he does not sell that car and comes down to earth, whats the car worth? You could wind up with a very decent car at a reasonable price

You, sir have just identified yourself to the seller as a "time waster".

Creative add, the spelling was too...

I kind of wonder if it was done on purpose ?
to funny either way, too expensive too...

Ever the optimist Steve. Or contrarian. Call this goofball and let us all know how it goes!

This is comical. The word -profiling- comes to mind. :D

Can we paint a picture of who this seller is in our minds?

It just might be a better picture of who he is than what we need to know about the car he is selling.:realcrazy:
I immediately pictured an obese old white guy with 5 day old stubble and a limp cigarette dangling from his lips. Soiled and greasy white beater on. A know it all who's gone.. nowhere.

I could be wrong.

Nobody wants to have their time wasted. I've had cars for sale numerous times and had to endure the long winded..."I had one like this one time..................................................................................................................................................................................................." type of conversation.
I cut them short now.

Not that hard to weed them out on the phone. Been there, done that.

It's only a chain steering wheel, alloy gas pedal and Daytona wing away from a great Joe Dirte special...

Or a shackle kit short of a fun "daily never-ending drivable" project car...

...if the seller wasn't such a freakin' jackass.

If i lived close and it was the car i wanted, solid body then i just might. Ive dealt with people who think there stuff they want to sell is worth much more then it actually is. Some times after they cant sell it then they realize they over priced it and are more reasonable. So if the body is solid,no rust whats this car honestly worth????

Hell yeah. I've bought loads of stuff at the price I first offered 3 months before once seller realises my offer was realistic and better than the others he got...

I have a once-wise-arse Craigslister with an '89 Firebird who has gone from $1,900 to $1,350 because I pretty much told him that his insults were of no matter to me, and that he could ring me up when he pissed everyone else off and found out he needed money quick.

I'd take him up on the thing for $1,000 (it has a KITT nose on it, and I could use it for my video series; have a few ideas in mind), but I have nowhere to put it. Unless anyone has an idea on where I can find cheap space for Chevy junk...
