Not the official weather thread.....

We got our first plowable snow today. About 6 or so inches here and right at freezing temp. The ground is warm enough that it seems to be melting some now, with the temps scheduled to drop this evening and stay below freezing for the foreseeable future.
Sorry, no pics to share with all the snow lovers.LOL!

-13 f last night, only 27 more degrees to go.

A foot of wet snow today. In Colorado, snow=money from tourists/skiers. We have chain laws here. Truckers driving in the mountain snow without chains get big fines.

Here's a video of my little town of Monument last January. It's the BMWs and Audis that get stuck first. You have to think how dangerous mountain roads are in the summer. Sharp declines, tight corners, rock slides, cliff drop offs. Now add snow and ice.

The truth is, we love it or wouldn't live here.

Going down towards -10° tonight here in MN. It's alittle early in the winter season, so Temps will rebound in the next few days.

Just a little taste of what's coming next month.

57 over night but humidity made it feel colder than the night it was 38!

No snow here yet, but a lot of rain. Washington state has flood alerts, including the Nooksack River, which is overflowing into British Columbia. Local farms here are going underwater again, just like four years ago.

Sonora just down the hill some,
70*s sunny clear skies, here today
cool this morning & cooling off now too
but for a couple hrs it was freaken' nice/beautiful
I'm a lil' higher up in elevation, but it was warm & wonderful
no rain or snow, even a cloud in sight, just the warm Calif. sun...
Great day...

Pity those in the freezing cold of the Midwest
or far north, white wonderland

It was the 40's at the high & sunny/clear skies just the other day,
& a week prior was cold, not the worst, but cool 28* to 35* as the high & clear too
seems to be colder when it's clear skies, just glad it's not snowing
freaken' Devil's dandruff, you guys can have that ****

I'm enjoying the warm temps

not our typical Dec. weather, in the mountains
but it happens every few years

I remember down in Rancho Murieta, Eastern Sacramento Co.,
down in the valley
one year on New Years Day, Jan.1st
a glorious day to be had, we played golf with 4 generations of my family
my Granddad, my dad, my nephew Keith & me like 1999 (?)
it was like 73*-75*s f, when we tee'd off at like 10: am-ish,
I think it got to like 79*s on Jan. 1st...

4 F right now and 60 F tomorrow. Weird. Was 9 yesterday as I was heading to an auction in the next town. A rollback with a car similar to mine drove by my house and I said: NOPE. They can have the crap. Anything can break down in these low temps, I'll stay home and drink beer. Did go to the dog park, of course. Skipped today. Tomorrow with be snow zoomies

as to the above it was also like 30* at night,
it's coldest at like 5: am in the mornings, when my dog wants out
after a 70*+ day

better then 4'+ snow, as the alternative & me having to shovel or remove it
