Not the official weather thread.....

33 here as well, heading to 37 this afternoon they say..
We call it HOT

-25c here this am... hit our high an hour ago at -9C. Sun's out and Georgian Bay is amazingly 70% frozen over, hopefully putting an end to the daily lake squalls.

On the way to work the other day, when it was 24...

There is an intersection where there is a shopping center on one corner, a gas station on another, and a strip mall on a third.
Pretty heavy traffic and the road I'm on is in a small 50 MPH zone that goes to 60 just past the shops.
Oh, there is a lake behind the houses on the 4th corner.

That intersection is a prime location to fog up the windshield.
...and that's what happened.
I hit the windshield washers/wipers...
...and it froze as soon as the water hit the windshield.
Then the light turned green.
I had to get to 50...and then 60...
shifting the 6 speed manual...
...and tying to operate the washer stalk...
while also trying to look past/through the ice.
FUN
Took 3 or 4 more squirts and wipes to get it cleared.

Or radiators.

I got my charger from Gainesville. Checked it at my overnight in st Augustine on the way home - water.

Drained and filled with antifreeze before I took it north!

Oh joy....

Weeelll....hit 79 here today!!! At least inside the shop. The high out behind the shop was 76 and that was great. Supposed to be this way for the next several days....but, imo, it's just another warm up before the next cold hit so things will feel colder than what they really are. Welcome to the very southern states.....or worse yet, SE Texas!

We forget - It’s February

I heard something interesting on the local news that it’s our coldest winter in GRB WI since the winter of 2013-2014 , that surprised me - And that winter was absolutely BRUTAL with record below zero days .

On a positive note - Mid 30s start next week for the foreseeable future

And then of course March will come with more snow and 20s
