hey y’all, I’ve lurked on here soaking iPad screens with drool from what you are enjoying and thankful for all that you’ve shared. Well I just turned 47 (wow that sounds foreign as all get coming out of my mouth) and I gifted myself a 68 Charger R/T. I’ve named her Pandora as that’s the direction of what I see in my mind’s eye.

I’m a Trauma/Rapid Response/ICU RN up here in the PNW. If you see you are quite possibly having the worst day of your life but know, I love my job and I’ve got this. I hope I never meet any of y’all at my work. Former US Marine - Semper Fi to my kin in here

So my 68 is a blank slate. Phase 1 is TTI Headers, Blackwidow Widowmakers, all new wiring harness from headlights to taillights both of which are LED. New dash, Autometer Elite series gauges, power windows with 1-Touch, power door locks, Corbeau LG1 heated seats with Schroth QuickFit Pro 4-Point harness, OMP SuperLeggero steering wheel with a QD, B&M Megashifter that I am figuring out how to integrate with my console as keeping the console is a must. Also deciding if I want to remove and refurbish it and being that I’m putting in a new all black dash; should I also get the console metal powder coated gloss black? I’ve already got new rubber here and waiting on the wheels from Bassett. I’m sure I’m forgetting other mods that will be completed during this go around. I can’t wait to hear her sing!!!

~Andy

You're gonna like the TTI's. Money well spent. Hope you got the ceramic coated. Weight savings too. Have had mine for about 15 years. Is that the steering wheel pictured?

If you're going to get your console powder coated, give CudaChick1968 a shot. She'a a vendor on the forum and does great work!!!

I did get the ceramic coating. Additionally wrapping them voids their warranty if anyone is curious.

Roger that, thanks for the heads up. Either way, it will be powdercoated gloss black or matte gray.

Hope you got the DOT legal Bassett wheels.

Yessir, I did. Thanks for the double check. This is a whole new animal to me and I’m appreciating the steep learning curve of maintaining a muscle car...

Beautiful Charger, looking forward to seeing the changes.

No that is not the steering wheel I plan to use.

This is the OMP SuperLeggero

That's a nice wheel. Be sure you want any dish before installing. I used a cheap Grant GT before this Momo Johnny Player Special was given to me. $400 wheel. Getting away from the wheel was critical for long road trips. As important as seats and ease of use of seat belts.
Gotta get the ergo right. On the console, note my misaligned junk collecting rattlebox. If it wasn't factory it would be gone.

I pulled the wheel out of my 911 to feel dish v no dish and the dish feels more appropriate in this application. Harnesses arrive tomorrow.

Do you all have any recommendations on battery relocation kits?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can't wait to see them installed!!

I got the new Corbeau LG1 seats in along with the Schroth Harnesses.

Where might I find new window moleskin?
